Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Lever Action Repeating Carbine, #484356, .32 Win. Spec. CF cal., 20'' blued barrel with integral blade front and adjustable leaf rear sights marked on top ''Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co./New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. Patented August 21, 1894'' in two lines, ''-Nickel Steel Barrel-/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' and ''32 W.S.'' just ahead of juncture with blued steel receiver, which has a saddle ring mount on left side (but no ring), and marked ''Model 1894/-Winchester-/Trade Mark Reg. in U.S. Pat. Off.'' on top tang; blued full-length tubular magazine and two barrel bands; case hardened operating lever, hammer, trigger and crescent buttplate on oil-stained walnut buttstock and forend. Mfg'd 1980. Condition is near excellent, the blued parts retaining approx. 96% deep original blue with scratching to receiver left side; operating lever, hammer and trigger retaining 50% silvering case coloring; the buttplate gunmetal gray. Forend and buttstock are sound retaining most oil finish, nice color, straight grain and fit well. All edges and markings are sharp; screw head slots are unblemished. Action is crisp and smooth; bore is shiny with pronounced rifling. Est.: $700-$1,000. (C&R)
