SN: 347840 Vintage semi-deluxe lever action repeating rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1907. Features a blued finish, 26" octagon barrel, full-length magazine tube, W.F. Sheard dovetailed bead top blade front sight, elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sporting sight, smooth trigger, case hardened hammer with knurled spur, curved case hardened lever, grip safety, checkered straight grain walnut forend with metal cap and pistol grip shoulder stock with “I” pattern checkering, factory grip cap & crescent metal buttplate. Includes a Winchester/Cody Firearms Museum letter confirming the rifles current configuration as original and stating its serial number application date as April 01, 1907 & ship date as April 11, 1907. The barrel retains approximately 70% of its original blued finish showing high point edge wear, scattered scratches and thinning above the forend. The magazine tube appear to be a later replacement and has approximately 90% finish intact with scattered scratches/wear and a couple dents on the underside. The receiver exhibits approximately 30% of its original blue with the balance comprised of a browning patina showing some scattered pin prick pitting towards the top. The hammer and lever both show traces of case colors with the majority of their surfaces bearing a grey patina. The action is mechanically sound, the bore shows good luster with sharp rifling & scattered light pitting, the markings are sharp, and the straight grain walnut stocks are near good with worn checkering, a small chip on the left side of the wrist, 1.5” hairline crack in the comb & small repair on the left side of the buttstock near the buttplate.
