Winchester Model 1894 lever action Rifle, 38-55 WCF cal., serial #50540. The rifle is in overall very good condition with a 26” octagon barrel, blade front sight and buckhorn rear. The barrel retains approximately 70% of its thinning bluedfinish with sharp edges, while the magazine tube has 60% with the balance going to plum patina. The receiver retains approximately 10% of its blued finish in protected areas with the remainder going to a silver-grey patina with light surfacerust evident. The smooth wood stocks are in overall good condition with a couple of significant gouges noted on top of the comb. The butt ends with a metal crescent butt plate. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings sharpon this desirable Winchester. This is an early, antique Model 1894 manufactured in 1896. (Antique) Est.: Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
