American made slide-action repeating shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shotshells, and manufactured in New Haven, CT. The Model 25 was produced for only five years, with production beginning in 1949 and ending in 1954, and 87,937 shotguns were produced. Based on the Model 12 action, and due to the Model 12's high cost, the Model 25 became known as the “poor man’s Model 12.” Shotgun features a satin blue refinish, steel receiver with an anti-glare serrated top, an approximately 28" round barrel, the fixed choke measures 'Improved Modified' with a drop-in gauge, steel bead front sight, half-length magazine tube, smooth curved trigger, single action bar, serrated bolt release behind the trigger, and a checkered cross-bolt safety behind the trigger guard. The refinished hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, a press-checkered slide handle, 13" length-of-pull, and a checkered black factory plastic butt plate. The blued refinish retained is approximately 99% with only some contact wear on the action bar. Metal displays no deformation, or rust. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is smooth and shiny. The furniture wood is in excellent condition as refinished with a few light handling blemishes on the shoulder stock, and small repaired cracks behind the receiver.
Condition is NRA Very Good - as Refinished.
