Desirable magazine fed bolt action target rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1960. The model 52 is regarded by many as one of the finest small-caliber rifles ever built. This optics ready rifle features a blued finish, 28" heavy barrel, two sight bases installed on the barrel, left receiver mounted base for aperture rear sight, installed one piece scope base with Weaver rings, serrated curved wide trigger, pivoting two-position thumb safety on the right side of the receiver, polished bolt with turned-down handle, push button magazine release, factory 5 round magazine, and smooth walnut pistol grip stock with inlaid accessory rail in the underside of the forend, knurled metal buttplate, sling swivels and 13 1/2” LOP. Rifle retains approximately 96% of its original blued finish showing thinning on the bolt handle, some minor scratches, the action is smooth/crisp, the bore is excellent/bright, the markings are sharp, and the wood stock is very good/sound with scattered minor scratches/dings. "U.S. Property" is etched on the left receiver rail.
