‘52B’ Desirable pre-war bolt action rimfire target rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1937. The model 52 is regarded by many as one of the finest small-caliber rifles ever built. Features a blued finish, 28" heavy barrel, Lyman 77 globe front sight, two scope blocks installed on the rear half of the barrel, Lyman 48 F.H. side mounted peep sight, serrated curved trigger, two-position pivoting safety on the right side of the receiver, polished bolt with turned-down handle & hollow knob, push button magazine release, factory 5 round magazine, three sling swivels, and smooth walnut pistol grip target stock with inlayed accessory rail in the forend, checkered metal buttplate & 13 7/16” LOP. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original blued finish showing scattered scratches and wear. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is excellent/bright, the markings are sharp, and the walnut stock is very good with wear & blemishes.
