Winchester Model 52C Target .22 LR #99974C
American made bolt action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 LR ammunition, circa 1960. It's been called the "King of the .22's" and Field & Stream called the Model 52 one of the "50 best guns ever made". It features a 28" blued heavy barrel with installed scope blocks and a rail to attach a front sight of your choosing but no sights at all. There is a Redfield W670 rear sight mount attached to the left rear of the high polish receiver. It has a thumb safety in front of the blued bolt handle. The trigger guard/bottom metal serves to house the detachable magazine and the serrated adjustable trigger. There are two screws in front of the trigger guard to make the pull weight and over travel adjustments without taking the gun apart. This is all contained in a very nice wood stock with an inlaid accessory rail in the bottom of the beaver tail forearm. It has sling swivels attached and a knurled metal butt plate. Metal finish looks very good with little sign of use or handling. The wood stock looks very good as well with a couple of scuffs and dings but nothing bad at all. Bore looks pristine. LOP is 13.75". If you collect Winchester's and don't have a Model 52, don't let this one get away. Condition is NRA Very Good+ *C&R Firearm*
