The rear sight is an adjustable elevation u-notch dovetailed into the barrel. grip/stock configuration & condition: the furniture is one piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a checkered synthetic winchester buttplate. The buttplate has light handling wear. The furniture shows pressure dings, scuffs, and scratches. The lop measures 13. 75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in very good condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: originalbore condition: the bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish shows only a few light scratches and some oxidation on the bolt. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. There is some oxidation on one of the buttplate screws. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in very good condition. mechanics: the action functions correctly.
