SN:1617626. Engraved by Texas Master Engraver David Wade Harris. Vintage Winchester 94 'Eastern Carbine' manufactured 1949. Features a blued finish with engraved Silver plated receiver, lever & hammer, 20'barrel with raised, dovetailed blade/bead front & semi-buckhorn rear sights, full length tube magazine, two barrel bands. lever safety, smooth walnut forearm & straight wrist shoulder stock with checkered steel buttplate. The sides of the receiver are hand engraved with floral/scroll designs with a dot background & accents, there are two intertwined geometric running the length of both sides with 'Texas Longhorn' steer head on the upper right side, the sides of the hammer & lever have floral/scroll designs along with the top of the receiver which is engraved around the Winchester trademark. The lower right receiver is signed "DWH" in small letters. In his shop near Tyler, Texas, one can still find Mr. Harris using hand made tools to enhance a hand gun or rifle with famous cattle brands. David Wade Harris born July 11, 1963 in Oak Cliff, a Dallas
suburb, is a master engraver who was taught hand engraving by the late, renowned, Ft. Worth engraver, Weldon Bledsoe who in turn learned from famous Cole Agee. The bore is very good/bright, strong rifling, the wood is very good/sound with some minor scratches, the action is smooth with a lever a little loose and the finishes are very good with a couple of very minor scratches & light muzzle wear.
