'No 3 Mk 1w' British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured in the United States circa 1914-1916. Features a blued finish, 26" barrel, shrouded blade front sight, receiver mounted flip-up ladder style aperture sight graduated to 1,600 yards, volley sights, metal forend cap/barrel band with bayonet lug & piling swivel, serrated trigger, internal 6 round box magazine, manual safety on the right side of the receiver, bent bolt handle, charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, green canvas sling, smooth wood handguard, finger grooved forend and straight grip shoulder stock with brass disc & trapdoor metal buttplate. Serial numbers match on the receiver and bolt handle. The stock is marked [Broad Arrow]/”IW”(inside a circle)/”PATT 14" and the receiver is marked with British military proofs. Rifle retains approximately 70% of its original blued finish with a browning patina comprising the balance. Action is smooth, the bore is dull with sharp rifling and the wood stocks are good with many blemishes. Condition is near NRA Fine. ***C&R Firearm***
