World Record Ram framed print Giclee on Canvas of the new world record Montana ram alive Beautiful one of kind framed 32” x 48”. Donated by John Lewton. This bighorn sheep found on Wild Horse Island shatters a record previously held by an Alberta ram. The Boone and Crockett Club officially certified the record with a final score was 216 3/8 points, which surpassed the current world’s record by 7 inches. The sheep died of natural causes at 9 years old. It lived its whole life on Wild Horse Island, a place where the species thrives. Wildlife officials say the island is insulated from disease, and they’ve translocated sheep from there to other herds because their gene pool is strong. This sheep was not harvested by a hunter, so the record will be credited to the citizens of Montana.
