Spend 5 days hunting Mule Deer on gaited mountain horses in Northwest Wyoming’s beautiful high country.
This is a 5 day fully guided rifle or muzzleloader hunt with season dates from October 1-31st and is valid for 2026 or 2027.
Hunters stay in the famous Sunlight Basin Lodge. The lodge was built in the 1970’s by Jack Porter (John’s father) and has been the base for hundreds of successful Bighorn, Elk, and Deer hunters over the past 5 decades.
John’s 42 years hunting this country, his professional guides, great equipment, comfortable lodging, and Lori’s home cooked meals make this a unique hunt.
Rugged mountains, plentiful game, managed under a limited draw system offer ample opportunities to take trophy bucks.
Additional hunters are welcome at $8500. Licenses can be drawn with no points in the “special draw” or 2 or more points in the “regular draw”. NR license fee - Regular draw $374 Special draw$1200 (no points required). Bring a wolf tag! (Only charge on wolves if you miss!).
