Phoenix Chapter SCI invites one hunter to the Navajo Nation for Navajo Elk hunt permit. Schedule this 7-day rifle hunt for open dates September 1, 2026-February 15, 2027; contact Phoenix Chapter SCI for complete details. This Navajo Elk permit is valid for hunt units 1-16 and provides the successful bidder the opportunity to hunt Elk on Navajo Nation lands with a required licensed Navajo Nation guide. Included is one Navajo Elk hunt permit. A licensed Navajo Nation guide is required and must accompany the hunter at all times while on Navajo Nation lands, including scouting activities prior to the hunt; guide arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. The successful bidder must submit a completed Navajo Nation hunt application before the permit can be printed, must be eligible to hunt on the Navajo Nation, and must have their Elk checked by Department personnel for harvest information. No hunter companions are allowed except immediate family. Use of aircraft, snowmobiles, and all-terrain vehicles is prohibited, except as allowed under SEC. 2,20 Hunting and Trapping regulations. Mandatory permit check-in and check-out are required. Not included are guide fees, before/after hunt expenses, transportation, lodging, meals, licenses if applicable, and any other expenses not listed as included. No refunds. Permit cannot be transferred. Arrival/departure point is Navajo Nation hunt units 1-16.
