The Chugach State Park Brown Bear permit is one of the most sought after Brown Bear permits in the state of Alaska. This Brown Bear permit has more applicants during the Alaska State Draw period, than any other Brown Bear permit in the State of Alaska. The permit is so popular because of its Brown Bear trophy potential and the ease of access to hunt in Chugach State Park near Anchorage, AK.

The winner of this Special Permit will be allowed to hunt Brown Bear in accordance with Alaska Game Management Unit 14C hunt regulation boundaries (see hunt boundaries in link below) from September 01, 2023 – May 31, 2024 or in accordance with hunt dates to be published in the 2023-2024 Alaska Hunting Regulations on July 1, 2023.

This permit is available to either Resident or Non-Resident hunters. In accordance with State of Alaska Laws, Non-Resident Brown Bear hunters are required to hunt with a Registered Hunting guide or Second Degree of Kindred (second-degree of kindred = a father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, brother or sister-in-law, son- or daughter-in-law, father- or mother-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepsister, stepbrother, stepson, or stepdaughter).
