Travel to Mongolia, the historic land of Genghis Khan, for one of the most unique hunting opportunities available today.
This is a ten-day hunt for Gobi Ibex and Maral Stag.
Fly to Ulaanbaatar, where you will be met by our partners from Zev Hunting Safaris and transferred to your hotel. The following day, you will fly to the hunting area on another commercial flight and on to the camp by vehicle. September is the best month based on the stag rut. The hunt is for available dates in 2026 (7-17 Sept or 21-30 Sept), or it may be delayed until 2027.
The camps are strategically positioned to easily access the hunting area within the shortest time. These are isolated wilderness facilities with very limited access to the outside world, enhancing the hunting adventure. Camp accommodations are in “Gers,” sometimes called “Yurts”, in the US. which are felt tents wrapped around a collapsible wooden frame. They are much larger than standard wall tents.
Days three through eight are spent hunting for ibex and stag. Hunting ibex is typically spot and stalk in mountainous terrain, while Maral stag hunts are conducted in small forested mountains and valleys. Calling stag during the rut can also be very exciting. On day 9, you will return to Ulaanbaatar, stay overnight at a hotel, do some sightseeing, and depart on day 10.
Included: Meet and greet at the AP, all ground transportation (airport-to-airport service) for the duration of your hunt, hunting licenses & permits, state veterinary certificate & export documentation, English speaking interpreter 1x1, experienced professional hunter(s) accompanied by tracker(s) 1x1, ger Lodging & meals at camp, camp staff services, unlimited bottled water, trophy skinning and preparation, community fees and field care of the trophies
Not included: International flights; domestic flights cost: $500 per hunter (round trip); excess luggage fees; hotel and meals in Ulaanbaatar city; Mongolian export CITES fee: $500 (Argali, Ibex & wolf); none required for Maral stag.
Gun permit fee of $250 per rifle (max 30 rounds of ammo), or rent for $500 for the duration of the hunt; insurance and gratuities (Tips); additional hunting days; and trophy fees for additional animals taken during the hunt are not included in the hunts.
