Guided Trophy Kodiak Mountain Goat Hunt
Join Master Guide Joey Klutsch on Kodiak Island for a fully guided 7-day mountain goat hunt in a premier area with an over-the-counter permit.

Hunting takes place within Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge and adjoining private lands, totaling approximately 149,000 exclusive acres.

The outfitter has operated in this area for over 20 years, consistently producing trophy-class billies. This is a rugged, physical mountain hunt, but notably less demanding than a Dall sheep hunt. Hunts are conducted with two guides for one hunter, with spike camps set deep in goat country. Guides will help pack most items, but the hunter should expect to carry at least their personal gear. Large numbers of goats are usually seen daily, and many hunters harvest within the first two days in the mountains. Careful glassing, patience, and well-planned stalks are the key to success on this unforgettable hunt. Sitka blacktail deer may also be taken at no additional charge.

The hunt can be scheduled for available dates in October or November 2027 or 2028. The point of departure is the city of Kodiak, Kodiak Island.

Included: Seven days of guided mountain goat hunting, meals (freeze-dried foods mostly), tent camping, and trophy prep.

Not included: RT transportation to Kodiak, lodging in Kodiak before and after the hunt, hunting license and permit fees if applicable (nonresidents: license ($160), mountain goat permit ($600), blacktail deer permit ($300)), and gratuities.
