This custom built memorial rifle was commissioned by the friends and family of fellow AK WSF members and sheep hunters, Timothy Sonnenberg and Jason Roberts, of Fairbanks and North Pole, who passed away tragically during the 2018 sheep season while doing what they loved to do best. The Alaska Wild Sheep Foundation would ask you all to join us tonight in celebrating their lives and commitment to conservation.
The rifle for auction was built by Alaska Wild Sheep Foundation Life Member, Steven Hallenbeck, of Double Broomed Mountain Rifles, in North Pole, AK.
This custom rifle is chambered in .280 Ackley Improved and includes:
• Kimber 84L trued action, lugs, bolt lugs and recoil lug
• 24” fluted Lilja stainless steel Match Grade (3-groove) 1-9” twist barrel with a contoured muzzle brake
• Jared 24oz trigger
• Cerakoted barrel and action in Tungsten color with Graphite Black on bolt body
• Leupold VX3 Long Range 30mm 4.5-14x40mm Scope
• 150 custom tuned, hand loaded rounds
• Harris Bi-Pod, Pelican Travel Vault, Boyt soft rifle case, and Browning sling
At the request of the family and friends who commissioned this very special rifle 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go to help fund Alaska Wild Sheep Conservation.

• All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on hunts and services. Unless otherwise indicated, all auction hunts and services must be used within one year of the date of purchase.
• It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits. Failure to make necessary arrangements may constitute forfeiture.
• AK WSF is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between for between the purchaser and donor.
• AK WSF has made every effort to ensure the quality of donated hunts and other services. However, AK WSF does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
• All donors must provide notice on the Hunt Donation Form of the number of days of duration and available time frame(s) agreed upon in the donation along with the opportunity to hunt/fish all species indicated in the donation. Hunt donations include any and all ancillary items or services as indicated in the Hunt Donation Form and confirm with the purchaser in the AK WSF auction sales receipt and Buyer’s Agreement.
• AK WSF does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
• A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety.
• The goods and services in the live auction are sold “as is” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of the AK WSF or WSF. AK WSF or WSF makes no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
• The high bidder acknowledges that AK WSF and WSF cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest, epidemic or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can AK WSF or WSF be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
• The high bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances in its entirety.
• These rules are hereby incorporated into the Live Auction purchase agreement sheets by reference. The winning bidder agrees to acknowledge and accept these rules and conditionals.
