Join Sandveld Safaris and hunt some of the largest Cape Buffalo on the planet at one of Namibia’s finest safari destinations, the Waterberg Park and Plateau.
This 10-day hunt for one hunter is for August or September 2026, with no extension available. September is the ideal month to harvest an exceptional cape buffalo.
While most will come to Waterberg for huge Cape buffalo with outside spreads in the mid-to-upper 40s, the other wildlife and trophies are second to none. Additional species that you can hunt in Waterberg Park with Sandveld Safaris include eland and giraffe. All other plains game can be hunted just 2 hours from Waterberg on Sandveld's privately owned 97,000-acre hunting destination. The quality of trophies, quantity of game, and the wilderness setting combine to make Waterberg one of Africa’s finest safari destinations.
The plateau and the 156-square-mile national park are named after the prominent table-shaped mountain that rises from the plateau; Waterberg is Afrikaans for "Water Mountain". This plateau offers visitors stunning scenery and excellent wildlife. The Waterberg is largely composed of sandstone, often naturally sculpted into amazing shapes. It is also dotted with freshwater springs. Given the plateau’s isolated nature, endangered species such as white rhino, roan, and sable antelope add to the plateau's existing rich game.
This exciting innovation is a one-of-a-kind experience for hunters searching for that dream buffalo safari. The tented camp offers a plush traditional safari experience just steps away from all the luxuries of civilization.
Hunters will fly to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, overnight, and the Sandveld staff will pick you up from your hotel the next morning to start the hunt.
Included: Lodging, meals, trophy fee for one cape buffalo, all transportation during the hunt, and trophy prep. Additional species and hunters, as well as observers, are encouraged per the current price list.
Not included: RT travel to Namibia, firearm rental (optional), trophy packing and shipping, and gratuities.
