This is truly a unique live auction item and it may well be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Up for auction is a limited edition (One of only Twenty made) World Record Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep replica. This ram lived its life on Flathead Lake’s Wild Horse Island in Montana and died of natural causes. The ram’s skull, which was discovered by Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (MFWP) officials in 2017, was officially scored at 216 3/8" B& C – the new World Record.
Wild Horse Island is home to roughly 100 bighorn sheep and its 2,163 acres of prairie grasses make it the perfect habitat for bighorn sheep to thrive and grow, which seems to be the case for this particular ram.
By agreement with the Montana Department of Fish and Game half the proceeds will go to the State of Montana to help maintain Flathead Island and the other half will stay here in Alaska for Dall sheep – a double win!

• All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on hunts and services. Unless otherwise indicated, all auction hunts and services must be used within one year of the date of purchase.
• It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits. Failure to make necessary arrangements may constitute forfeiture.
• AK WSF is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between for between the purchaser and donor.
• AK WSF has made every effort to ensure the quality of donated hunts and other services. However, AK WSF does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
• All donors must provide notice on the Hunt Donation Form of the number of days of duration and available time frame(s) agreed upon in the donation along with the opportunity to hunt/fish all species indicated in the donation. Hunt donations include any and all ancillary items or services as indicated in the Hunt Donation Form and confirm with the purchaser in the AK WSF auction sales receipt and Buyer’s Agreement.
• AK WSF does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
• A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety.
• The goods and services in the live auction are sold “as is” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of the AK WSF or WSF. AK WSF or WSF makes no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
• The high bidder acknowledges that AK WSF and WSF cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest, epidemic or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can AK WSF or WSF be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
• The high bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances in its entirety.
